Today, we had our 3rd session with Coach Matt taking a Rippa Rugby Lesson on our school field. All the cones were set out on the field ready for us to train.
First, Coach Matt handed out some yellow and white tags with the belts. After getting our tags on, we lined up in a line to play Bull Rush for our warm up. Coach Matt picked one student to be a tagger which was Mateaki. The tagger called out some names or colours then Bull Rush.
After the warm up, we got into four lines behind the cones. We were getting ready to do scissors which is passing the ball down through your players while running. We were passing the ball a few times, then we stopped to move on to the next lesson.
Next, we were split into two teams, White and Yellow. Coach Matt called out 5 students from my team, Yellow and 3 students from the White team. The yellow team had the ball and the White team was defending. We played for a while and changed the defenders with each teams.
Lastly, we play a game of Rippa Rugby. It was fun and also funny. I learnt from the session, to target the ball, calling for the ball, concentrate on the ball and to mark the player.

Hi Fusi, I love the sentence starters you have used in this recount. You have made it clear to your readers when and what was happening. Are you looking forward to the lesson this week?
Yes, and Thanks for reading my work.
